Cannot install Blogg-X on linux Mint: invalid compressed data error

Hello Forum,
I have been trying to get Blogg-X 2.13 installed on the linux Mint. However when I do so I get the following error:

gunzip: sfx_archive.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--format violated

I am sorry, but the installer file seems to be corrupted.
If you downloaded that file please try it again. If you
transfer that file with ftp please make sure that you are
using binary mode.

Any idea how to fix this?

I am having the exact same problem on my Unbuntu 7.10 install.

I think it is a problem with the script finding the JVM files, but do not know how to fix it... Sad

Ditto here, Ubuntu 7.04.

I think it may have been an upload problem, such as using the ASCII upload option for binary files.

Until that issue get solved however, you can still use the 2.12 version, available here.

Downloads and installs fine.

BTW: 2.12 will be able to access sites with the 2.13 Mambot installed, and vice-versa.

Same problem, Mandriva 2007 spring.
Tried 2.12 v but having password issues.

hello,

i have downloaded  Blogg-X2_13_unix_2_13.sh and i get corupted file info also i am using ubuntu 7.10. any tips how to fix this ?

So this problem is known since November, and two months later it is still not resolved and nobody from iobinary replied to those post? What kind of support is that. I know it's free and I shouldn't complain but come on! At least tell us you are working to resolve the problem!
