Author posts auto-approving
« on: December 26, 2006, 01:00:32 PM »

I made a change to the content.php file so that content submitted by an Author would automatically approve.

When I submit content via the site itself, this works.

But when I submit content via Blog-X, the content shows as waiting to be published.

I'm DYING to have an easy way to have Author-submitted content automatically approve/publish.

Ideas?

Thanks Chris... the only problem I'm running into now is that when I try to edit/upload that authors.txt file, my FTP program says Permission Denied and I've been unable to figure out what permissions I need to (or CAN) change to allow me to modify that file... I can't seem to change permissions on the mambots/blog-x_2_0 folder (it's 755).

Could I put in an official request (I'm begging, actually), to allow Author posts to automatically approve?

The idea you gave of editing that text file doesn't seem to work for me because, somehow, I can't change the permissions to allow overwriting or editing that file.

(any suggestions about that would be helpful)

Thanks.
