Hi there, nice program, impressive efforts.  ;D

User/pass is successfully recognized (two different user were tested) and posting/updating previous post is OK,  but it's not possible to download categories info.

Very good idea to have an offline tool for Joomla.
But I have the same problem, but the articles can be (sometimes) loaded, even without the categories loaded before.

Another question I have is why the textbox are so small, especially the "main text"area which can not be maximized.

All... I am currently looking into this.  I haven't been able to replicate it yet but am continuing.  Please make sure that you have Java 5.0 (1.5) installed and the mambot is loaded correctly.  In a future version with the help of another member we are moving to the Joomla! API for the mambot so that should help alot for more compatibility.

As far as the size of the text windows, initially when I started working on Blogg-X I just wanted a small application that didn't take over the desktop.  It has already grown beyond what I had in mind when I started and I am sure it will continue to grow.  Have you tried using the little arrows between the intro and main text area's?  It should min/max within that small area. 

Soon I will be able to start working on this again with more effort.  Thanks...

same problem here. Impossible to select categories in order to post information. Installed last beta 2. (Joomla 1.07)

Can you guys provide some additional information? 

1.  What happens when clicking "Load/Update Categories"? 

2.  Can you post and update content? 

3.  Can you still select the posted articles from the "Edit/Delete Previous Post"?

4.  Is it correct that you have nothing listed in the "Select Category" box?

5.  Do you have access and can you take a screenshot of the structure of the jos_content table structure in phpmyadmin.

As much information as possible is welcomed and helps alot.

Hi, I have the same problem using the lattest release of Joomla and Blog-X

I got successful message when posting, but nothing appears on the website, even if i check the "show on frontpage" box... but the record is done in the database here it is

Yes. Identically same problem for me (Joomla 1.07+Windows Client). All other stuff works...

As far as your problem and that of some others please try the new mambot that you can download from the frontpage.  Let me know if this helps out.

Im still experiencing problems with images and I would really like to have a publish/unpublish function for user submitted entries, so Im looking forward to new versions.

I've tried the new plugin, but still get the error when trying to load/update categories.

The software pauses for 15 to 20 seconds, then I get an error box that says: Error loading/updating categories.

2.  Can you post and update content?

Yes, it posts content to Section 1 Category 1.

3.  Can you still select the posted articles from the "Edit/Delete Previous Post"?

Yup!

4.  Is it correct that you have nothing listed in the "Select Category" box?

VERY blank box.

Sorry, should have said mambot instead of plugin above.  I updated it last night (and again just now) to no avail.  I still get the error message.

Clay... Is it possible for you to create a temporary "Author" level account for me on the site?  This way I can see what is happening behind the scenes with Blogg-X and see what you mean by "extensive" structure.  If so please PM me the information.

Also can you install the following mambot:

It is a separate mambot, for the version i am currently working on, and does not require you to uninstall the one you have already loaded.  This is just so I can check the new version of Blogg-X to see if I have already inadvertently fixed this problem.

I'm running two joomla sites
wackyb.co.nz is using v1.0.7
bee.geek.nz on v1.0.8
both are on the same server and run pretty much the same modules etc


Blogg-X runs happily on wackyb.co.nz using  Blogg-X Mambot .85 Beta 2
.85 Beta 2 and .90 Beta 2 fail to run properly on bee.geek.nz  :(

Bee... It's been a long day.  Sorry I forgot I had posted that there.  If it's possible can you PM me with information on an "Author" account on that site so I can check it out here?  I probably wont get to it tonight, but by tomorrow night I should have some information for you.

Bee... disregard the "Author" account, the problem is caused by the category name with the apostrophe.

After installing new mambot all works fine (lang=estonian). But images are uploaded without using {mosimage} tag, also maybe uselful making menu link? Anyway, thanks!
