I have just installed 2.1. When ever i try to connect i get an error "There was an error tryng to get initial setting. There are a few possible reasons 1234...). I've given it all the correct details and tried it with differant accounts. also the latest mambot is installed. any ideas?
gus, check the permissions of the blogg-x_server.php file in the mambots/blogg-x directory on the server. Should be set to 644, it won't work with the permissions at 777.
Possibly firewall blocking Blogg-X from getting out?
gus... can you PM me your site information along with a test author or publisher account? Is this site an original Joomla! site or an upgrade from Mambo?
