Hi, i think you must move the Publish Action button, for usability (i was a victim of this), my suggest, use a buttom, and an alert message (did you finsh your article)  before publish!....

I agree with pardocorp. I feel in trouble with the way blogg-X excute commands. I don't think this drop down menu is the best way to do.
Let say I want to create a new article (published or not). Like any editing app, I would expect to select new something (even if it doesn't have any sense on local computer) and then a command like "Upload something" after setting the status of the article (published/unpublished/frontpage).
Now let say I want to update an article, I would expect to select "Download something", edit and then again an "Upload something" command, may be with a dialog box asking me if I'm sure to overwrite the previous article.
I think this command must be in the menu bar but not in a drop down menu on the window. Drop down menu on window normally are just options for the settings and menu bar item act like command.
