New Name Suggestion(s) for BloggX
« on: September 05, 2006, 03:18:33 PM »

As the commenting-save on the site is still under the weather due to Ako, I thought I'd resurrect the "topic/thread" here.

I think another reason perhaps for changing the name is one i stumbled upon today.

I was wondering (had forgotton apparently) whether or not there was a Windoze version.

After coming home here to the site, I was immediately reminded of the inherrent beauty of this software-- cross-platform. I had, in the midst of a month's worth of testing this software, had begun to incorrectly think of this as a Mac-App (OS-X).

As to a suggested name? Hmmm, Joomla platform, java-based, cross-environments, posting, mini-content manager, quick, easy, safe-- all from one's desktop.

How about:
  • JoomQuicker
  • DeskJoom
  • JoomDesker
  • JoomJavaPost
  • JavaJoomer
  • Joomlicious
  • JavaJoose
  • Joomlamatic
  • Joomleez
  • Joomleasy
  • EZjoom

but those are just off my cuff.  Grin

I strongly believe, though I've yet to donate,  Roll Eyes that this software is indeed a 'must-have' for all joomla users, and their respective constuency.

Warm regards from Miamisburg, Ohio!

Michael

Thanks for the idea's.  Between your post and others on the frontpage and the help of a few friends I believe I have decided on a new name and have completed the logo design and it will be released with the 2.5/1.0 version in the future.

Thanks...
