First of all, great idea and great Joomla addition!
I had a few thoughts that I think would make Blogg-X that much better.
Whenever I post something, I always change the name of the poster to something a little more identifiable than the username.
ie. username = admin poster = Joe Schmoe
I would love to see a field for the nickname/display name in the next version.
Also, not to be picky, but I use an editor in Joomla that allows me great control over the post. I was hoping to see added features to the WYSIWYG editor, such as the ability to choose fonts, font sizes, colours, etc.
nihir... Thanks for the comments. I have been planning to add the HTML features it just hasn't made it in yet with the other core changes I wanted to get working first. As far as the poster name I can take a look at adding that as well.
I have to say this is a great addition. I love this software. Thank you much, and thanks for keeping it free.
I agree with the feature requests at the beginning of this thread. A more advanced WYSIWYG editor would be great, and the ability to change the authors names. Also, I saw this somewhere else, but the ability to post without publishing woudl be great too. I am just basically confirming everyone elses feature requests because I agree that these features mentioned would just make this software the bomb! Thanks.
If WYSIWYG is going to be more potent, one might want Admin control over how postings make it to the site. One of the main benefits of CSS is to provide continuity of content and if anyone can override that, continuity can go out the window. I'm all for bolding, underline, italics, etc., but giving a poster the ability to post in 72pt Helvetica in alternating Green and Red letters..... ick.
Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next version with all the great suggestions in this forum incorporated.
