Has anyone had the opportunity to work with the iJoomla Magazine component (http://iJoomla.com) and Blogg-X? I have attempted to utilise Blogg-X to modify, publish and unpublish content on a Joomla site utilising the iJoomla component, but with mixed results. For example, I can only modify existing content. I cannot delete, unpublish or publish new or existing content to the Front Page. At least not while the iJoomla component is set up as the front page.
I realise that the iJoomla component is a commercial Joomla add-on, so this is not in any way a criticism of the functionality of Blogg-X. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this add-on that they would like to share.
It's been over 2 months since you posted your initial message, but I thought I'd reply.
I am using iJoomla with a new site that is under development, and using Blogg-X with it as well. They are a great combination together, so far (although I am having problems with Blogg-X adding >> in the text).
But, Blogg-X cannot add or publish new content to pages that are controlled by iJoomla (for example, the front page).
The reason is that iJoomla requires a separate step to say which Joomla content goes onto its front page component. It doesn't respect Joomla's <publish to FrontPage> checkbox (which is what Blogg-X uses).
So, while you can indeed add new articles to various sections / categories in the Joomla content sections, you still have to go to the Magazine component in iJoomla to specify which Joomla articles are linked to specific iJoomla magazines / issues.
