It appears that I have the same problem. I've downloaden the Windows-version of this programme (version 0.85). The older versions did not contain any mambot-files (maybe a wise idea to post this mambot on this website?). So I can only try this with version 0.85.

I filled out all the details and I keep getting an errormessage, telling me that my password is wrong.

Anything news on this prob?

Same here!

ironstel... Are you using the new Blogg-X 2.0?  If not please update both the Blogg-X application and install the new mambot on the server.  Once you have it installed, or if you already did, please PM me with temporary account (author) and I will check it out here!!

Thanks...

ssandy... All is good now?  Blogg-X should verify "Author", "Publisher", "Administrator", and "Super Administrator".

tranta... What character set is your site and database using?  Blogg-X currently has problems with most other character sets besides ISO-8859-1.  I am working on the fix, but it's not going to happen overnight.  I basically have to change how all text within Blogg-X is currently handled.  If you aren't using a different character set when are you getting the error? On starting Blogg-X?  Where you able to successfully verify a username and password?

Thanks...

I've also tried the suggestions that Ssandy typed. No luck here. It keeps erroring me that my userdetails could not be verified.

Can those of you having problems do a couple things for me?

1.  Take a screenshot of the database structure from your phpmyadmin

2.  Find out the mysql version that is running on your server or better yet send me the results of the phpinfo file I have attached below.  To use the phpinfo script just unzip the file and upload the "phpinfo.php" into the root directory of your website and then goto your site address + /phpinfo.php   Once you have run the script and captured the information, please remove the script via ftp.

3.  Take a screen shot showing the data is the jos_users table within your database.  The "jos_" portion may not always be "jos_" depending on your installation.

Please email the results to admin@iobinary.com and please dont' paste here as it may contain some information that the whole world doesn't need to see.

If someone is brave and wants to give me the access the their server (phpmyadmin, joomla!) that would be the most helpful, if so just PM or email me with the details.

Thanks...

Ok, have got some information from a couple people.  THANKS!  Those still having problems when you run the phpinfo.php file can you see if the "Configure Command" section contains the following:

'--without-mysql'

Please let me know here...

Thanks...

Ok, check to make sure the permissions on the "blogg-x_server.php" file in the mambots/blogg-x_2_0 directory is set to "644".  For more information see the frontpage of www.iobinary.com.

Let me know if this helps!!

Ok, Chris, don't know what you've done... or what I've done.... Huh Roll Eyes It seems to work after the de-installation of the previousversion and the installation of the new version.

I've uninstalled and installed the new version, and I still have the problem.

This thread introduces some questions for me, though.

A)   The Add Site wizard seems to imply that you don't include the http://, which I haven't.   However, the first two messages in this thread seem to indicate that it SHOULD use the full URL.   Can you confirm which is correct?

B)   If the URL to my site is:   site.com/v3 -- then do I include that or do I include http://site.com/v3?

I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide -- everything else looks fine and I do get the ftp to verify ok.   permissions are 644 on the server.php file in the blogg-x dir -- firewall is turned off and a non-issue.

I can send you a test account as well.

Thanks,

Rand.
