DJ... The ftp section is just used to allow images to be uploaded to the server. Blogg-X can be used without any of the ftp settings defined it will just not allow uploading or use of images within the posts.
I can look into adding support for sftp in a future version.
i think what would be better would be to use the XML post to upload the image. - i dont have the right words but lemme explain...
the client Blogg-X sends the image to mambot somehow within the XML or http post and the mambot creates the image file on the server itself. sftp would be good too.
btw i just started using Blogg-X and its really helpful. Coming accross this application just made my day
devil dog... The new method for the 2.5 release is using HTTP post. I have initial tests working using it and am working on rewriting some code for the mambot. The ftp stuff has been completely removed, thus simplifying user setup considerably.
