I have three websites, one is running on PHP 4.x.x, the other two is PHP 5.x. The one with PHP 4 is working fine with Blogg-X 2.11, but the other sites i get this error message: "There was an error trying to get initial settings." Do Blog-X have any issues with PHP 5?
I actually haven't tried it with PHP 5 yet as all my servers are based on PHP 4. Just something to check real quick on the two sites that don't work do you still have the "Latest News" section and some categories beneath it? There is a bug with the current version that will cause the problem you are describing if that section is missing or if there is no other section with an id of "1".
Has anyone else had any luck with Blogg-X and PHP5?
There's similar problem for my webserver which was build on PHP 5 (please see detailed information as follows). When I try to make site conection, there's always error messages told that 'username incorrect'. I don't know how to resolve this problem. And maybe, it's the bug of this software?

I'm glad to tell you that it successfully conected to webserver when the username of Publisher group is used! It seem that the frondend of Blogg-X 2.11 only support users of Publisher group. However, it need to be further confirmation.
I created another user with 'Publisher" permissions and it connected successfully
My other two administrator/super administrator accounts would not connect (Error username incorrect)
