This is kind of a cool map; it shows how much each candidate spent per vote in the states they won.

Chuck Norris on Prop 8

Regardless of how you feel about the results of the vote, Chuck Norris has a point. It's the democratic process at work. Don't like it? Get it overturned but don't beat down 69 year old ladies.

Good. He deserved to lose the seat. The GOP deserves the loss, too, for not immediately moving to boot Stevens' convict self out of the Senate.

Politico: Clinton may reject State offer
Written by CombatRob
Tuesday, 18 November 2008

Good news if the source is to be believed. The comment about her wanting to be in the driver's seat is probably prophetic; if Obama taps her for the role, she will be looking out for the Clinton's first, followed by party and country.

Written by CombatRob
Tuesday, 18 November 2008

Some Obama supporters are not pleased about the possible/pending (depending on the source) appointment of Clinton as Secretary of State. I'm disappointed, to say, the least. Her selection is antithetical to the message Obama promoted during the campaign.

Al Franken closes in on Minnesota Senate seat
Written by CombatRob
Wednesday, 12 November 2008

From the article:

Mr. Franken's people are already arguing that a vote for Mr. Obama certainly indicated a vote for Mr. Franken.

I predict that Franken will take the seat from Coleman, much like Gregoire took Washington State's governorship a couple of years ago. They'll keep finding Democratic votes until he's over the top and then the race will be called.

Gov't not disclosing where emergency funds are going...
