hmmm : chris
Dan... Please PM me with details of your site URL, and a valid publisher or admin username and password so I can do some remote debugging. There is something on some servers that is keeping Blogg-X from working and I just haven't figured out what it is yet, too many different server configurations, but at least I am trying.

One thing to keep in mind... If your site URL is www.yoursite.com but to get to the administrator page you have to goto www.yoursite.com/cms or anything additional to the www.yoursite.com that that additional portion must be included in the site address in Blogg-X, i.e. www.yoursite.com/cms. The reason for this is that entering the site address in the Blogg-X account settings is giving the basis for the URL to the XML-RPC server which will reside at http://www.yoursite.com/mambots/blogg-x_2_0/blogg-x_server.php so if there is an additional folder that your site is in it must be included in the site address.

That fault code is normal if you are accessing the php file directly through a web browser because the browser is not giving it the input that it's looking for. Usually I test the url to the php to be sure that the file has the correct permissions and that there is nothing weird with the path.

did you try the modified mambot from the link in the first post on the main page?
October 08, 2006
yes.. : Kenosha
Yes, I just reinstalled it to be sure.

In Blogg-X I can verify the ftp settings but not the Joomla! settings. It just hangs with no result returned, and when I try to connect I get the error box.

I use the Linux version of the client, but on a nearby Windows version, the same result.

ok : chris
I just tried http://www.dailykenoshan.com/mambots/blogg-x_2_0/blogg-x_server.php and I get a 500 error so try checking the permissions on the blogg-x files on the server per the instructions in the FAQs. If all is correct make sure that you are missing a subdirectory that your site may be in for the path... Do a few searches on the forums alot of good information there. At the link above your should get an xml page with the errors like mentioned above in these comments, that tells me that the server is processing the scripts and that blogg-x will be able to access them as well.
