J! 1.0.13 Blogg-X Update... PDF Print E-mail
Written by chris
Saturday, 18 August 2007

I have successfully modified Blogg-X to connect and verify on a Joomla! 1.0.13 installation. I had to perform changes in both the Blogg-X Java code and also in the mambot. I am now modifying Blogg-X to allow the user to specify J! 1.0.13 installs in the settings dialog of the application so that the same version of Blogg-X will work with both the new J! 1.0.13 and continue to work with the older versions. Keep an eye out here for the new release. Note this release will only be of changes to support the new version of Joomla! and contain no other fixes at this time.

Any chance you could let us know when ready?

Many thanks!

Greetings! Realizing that you are busy with life, of course, any idea when the update blogg-x will be available either as configurable for 1.0.13 or as a 1.0.13 release?

do you need money to make this work? : skoegler
I would be happy to make a donation it that's what it takes to get this app working. I've attempted to connect to all 5 Joomla sites I manage and have been unsuccessful in connecting to any of them. Some are .13 and some are earlier. I've read all the comments and tried everything I've seen mentioned but cannot even connect. The error msgs are too generic to be of any real guidance.
And the shame is, this would be a very helpful app if I could get it to work.
I would say that I'm willing to beg for support, but I'm hoping that an offer to pay will have more success.
Please?

skoegler and whoever doubt that it works, it does, but not with 1.13 for the time being : Stanley
Iv been using it at several sites, its a quick way to get contents to your sites. Some thing you have to do in the backend of Joomla, but most of your contents can be done with the help of this great app.

Also remember to install the mambot form the installation. Otherwise you wont be able to connect to your installation.
Iv made a short guide in using/installing this app. http://24bit.dk/podcast/media/2007-07-19_blogging_in_joomla.wmv
It is in danish, but the guide shows how you can use this as a blogging tool.
