Today I made some great progress with adding image support. I am expecting by tomorrow evening to have a version out to some private beta testers. If all is well with them then a public beta will soon follow.

Well it's been awhile since I have made any worthwhile updates. I apoligize for this...now that the holidays are over and I have finally completed my move and am completely settled into my new home things are going to start to move forward again.

First thing coming is image support for Blogg-X. I have completed some initial testing and think I have figured out what is needed to accomplish this. Some final testing and integration into Blogg-X and it should be golden. When I have the image support added I will be releasing it as a new minor version (i.e. 0.85Beta).

I also have great ideas for the next major update to Blogg-X and have also started working on that. Hopefully I have listened to everyone that has posted in the forums and the upcoming version will reflect those ideas. You can expect an updated user interface and alot of changes on the backend.

If you had posted a problem or concern with the current version of Blogg-X and I asked you for some additional information please get that to me as soon as possible. This will help me make sure those items are addressed as well.

I will be making more frequent updates here and will try to keep everyone up with the latest news.

If you are seeing this message you are viewing the site on the new host. Most things should be up and running to include member signups. If you had problems in the past with creating an account please try again. Those that attempted to create accounts within the last few days will most likely have to start over. I am sorry for all the problems but hopefully everything will work correctly now.

I apoligize for the downtime with the site. For some reason one of the database tables got corrupted and I had to figure out how to repair it. Anyway all seems to be working now.

I hope everyone is enjoying time with friends and family during the holiday season. It's been a good year and hopefully 2006 will be even better!!

It's been a while since I posted anything but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around. If you had a question posted in the forum I have responded to all of them.

I am almost moved into my house and as soon as the rest of my items arrive from the shipping company I can try to resume my normal life.

Thanks to all those that have given Blogg-X a shot and left some feedback. I apoligize for my offline status for the last few days. I am currently in phase 2 of my move back to the US and haven't had any net access. Now I am currently using dial-up which is pretty painful after getting used to DSL. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will get my life back to normal and fix a few things and start working on the other features that have been requested.

For those that are having problems with accounts on the site I will look into this. It's most likely caused by the convergence of the Joomla! and SMF board login. I will have to track the problem down. Thanks for being patient.

Also for those of you now using Blogg-X please let me know and I will again link to your site on the frontpage.

After 1000 downloads of the previous versions of Blogg-X I am happy to announce the latest beta version. This version has changed alot, mainly the removal of the JDBC requirement that was restricting many people from trying out the program.

This version is based on XML-RPC and has greatly simplified the settings required for it to work.

Additional features have also been added, for example the option to edit and delete posted content. For all the new features, screenshots, and other information check out the link below.

Blogg-X version .80 Beta has been released to a few private testers. As soon as I have gotten some initial feedback in and no major problems I will be putting out the public beta. A major PHP code problem was identified by my friend Rob at combateffective.us. Hopefully there are no other problems as major as that. Keep watching here for additional information.
